Hi I’m Rachael, I work for Tweezerman UK as their Creative & Digital Content Manager.
What is your favourite aspect of working within the beauty industry?
The beauty industry is such a fast-paced and exciting area to work in but the best part about it for me, is that ultimately, we help people look and feel their best! And it’s always so lovely to meet likeminded, creative people who all have a passion for beauty, who are involved in everything from product development to creative projects going live - it's always so rewarding seeing campaigns, events and everything in between coming to life.
The beauty industry has been going through some incredible changes throughout the past couple of years. What are the most exciting opportunities for someone looking to start a career in the beauty industry?
There are so many different avenues to explore and discover within the beauty industry, nowadays. With an increase of accessibility online it has created many new career opportunities including social media, the influencer world and PR just to name a few! Many of the opportunities within the beauty industry require a lot of crossover skills which mean you're constantly developing and meeting new, interesting people from different backgrounds. There are so many new and exciting things to learn!
What’s your key beauty tip/quote?
Always wear SPF even if it's gloomy outside, always curl your lashes with a lash curler (Tweezerman!) before applying your mascara and always get your beauty sleep!
