About

The UK’s voice for Beauty Retail

COPRA is the UK’s only Retailers Association for Beauty & Fragrance bringing together influential beauty retailers and the wider industry.

Founded in 1981, COPRA brings together leading retailers and the wider beauty community to connect, recognise excellence and shape the future of UK beauty retail.

COPRA holds a board of around 22 members who help to inform, educate and decide the award winners. Members benefit from a number of invaluable opportunities inducing meeting and learning from key beauty influencers in the industry. We hold regular meetings and training courses lead by industry experts to provide members with the knowledge and skills to develop customer-focused strategies and stay informed.

The essence of the Cosmetics and Perfume Industry is encapsulated into two industry-leading events, The COPRA Awards and the COPRA Ball. Each events provides attendees with opportunities to connect, learn, have fun, and remind ourselves what an incredible industry we work in together.

COPRA
Cares

In a world of fluid living and remote working the importance of community is more prominent than ever. COPRA was born over 37 years ago with values and togetherness at the heart of everything we do. As the Beauty Retail industry stands at the forefront of creating social change, community and experience, we feel our role is more important and more exciting than ever. COPRA is a place of togetherness. COPRA cares.

The Council was founded in 2018 following support from numerous industry leaders, brands and businesses that endorsed the British Beauty Council as a pre-eminent industry body that is a relevant, useful force for good which the industry is willing to be represented by.

The organisation works to future-proof the industry via policy-driven initiatives encompassing four main pillars: Policy & Influence, Talent & Careers, Trade & Export, and Investment, Innovation & Technology

Members comprise influential and inspiring hair, beauty and wellness industry figures who work collaboratively to ensure its strategic goals and objectives are achieved.
