Copra welcomed over 650 of the Beauty Industry’s most influential insiders to its annual Ball at the Park Plaza, London on Thursday 10th November. The Beauty Industry’s Christmas Party and Fundraiser for Look Good Feel Better.
The night was a fabulous success, the 1920’s theme for this year’s Copra Ball was loved by everyone, not only did the ladies come wearing fabulous 1920’s outfits, the men joined in too! Copra would like to thank everyone who attended this year’s event, thanking you all for your support and helping us raise money for our charity Look Good, Feel Better.

The night was a fabulous success and we can now reveal to you that together with the Copra Lunch fundraising efforts in May, a record breaking total of £43,965 has been raised this year by you for Look Good Feel Better – the Charity which supports women with visible signs of cancer.
Copra would like to thank everyone involved for their continued support at the events, which has enabled this incredible total!

Copra welcomed over 630 beauty industry insiders to its annual Ball at the Park Plaza, Westminster Bridge on Thursday 6 November. The James Bond-themed event raised over £35,000 for beauty industry charity Look Good…Feel Better, which supports women and teenagers suffering with the physical effects of cancer treatment. Combined with funds raised from the Copra Lunch earlier this year, Copra has raised in excess of £40,000 for the charity, making it a record-breaking year for fundraising.
Guests at the Ball were treated to a packed-out networking and champagne reception before taking their seats in the Ballroom to be welcomed by COPRA Chairman, Debbie Trumper. Following this, Look Good…Feel Better ambassador Gaby Roslin took to the stage with Kreena Dhiman, one of four Look Good Feel Better Beneficiaries who feature in the charity’s #warpaint4life advertising campaign, to tell the mesmerised audience more about LGFB and how it helps those battling cancer.
Guests then enjoyed a sumptuous three-course dinner and were entertained by Dame Shirley Bassey tribute act, Surely Bassey. Sports commentator Willie Thorne hosted the live auction, which saw winners take home prizes including a scent profiling session and a semi-bespoke fragrance from Roja Dove, and a Bulgari watch.
Meanwhile, COPRA’s legendary raffle included a host of generously donated prizes such as Chanel, Prada and Dior handbags, an SK-II Vanity Case and a treatment at Urban Retreat’s new Moroccan Hammam. After dinner guests hit the dance floor to the sounds of Soul Symphony and DJ Sophie Lloyd, and made the most of the casino and photo booth before heading home with their bumper goody bags worth £238, packed with beauty treats from the likes of Nails Inc, UrbanVeda and Philosophy.
COPRA welcomed 650 beauty industry insiders to its annual Ball at the Park Plaza, Westminster Bridge on 7 November. The event raised over £36,000 for beauty industry charity, Look Good…Feel Better. Guests at the glittering event were treated to a lively champagne reception before taking their seats in the Ballroom to be welcomed by COPRA Chairman, Debbie Trumper. In her opening speech, Trumper wished all those attending success during the busiest trading time of the year, Christmas, and welcomed the newest COPRA members: P&O Ferries, Feelunique.com and Voisin.
Guests enjoyed a sumptuous three-course dinner and were entertained by live band and dance troupe Tropicalia, who bought a Brazilian carnival vibe to the proceedings. Following dinner, Toastmaster David Collins received a helping hand from special guest John Barrowman during the live auction, which saw winners take home prizes including a Dior handbag and a scent profiling session and a semi-bespoke fragrance from Roja Dove. Meanwhile, COPRA’s legendary raffle included a host of generously donated prizes such as a Chanel handbag, a Lalique Sillage Limited Edition Crystal Flacon and an Elizabeth Arden Hamper worth £1,000. After dinner guests hit the dance floor to the sounds of DJ Sophie Lloyd, before heading home with their bumper goody bags worth £249, packed with beauty treats from the likes of Molton Brown, Elemis ad Philip Kingsley.
COPRA hosted its annual Ball at the Park Plaza on Westminster Bridge last week, which was attended by over 650 beauty industry insiders. The event raised over £35,000 for industry charity Look Good…Feel Better and celebrated the industry’s retailers and beauty brands with a three course meal, prize draw and exclusive auction. The Masques, an all-female classical music group, and Soul Symphony, a group of professional hip hop, jazz, R&B, pop and classical musicians, performed at the event, and the auction, which featured prizes including a white Chanel watch and a year’s worth of Elemis treatments, was supported by TOWIE star Mark Wright.
COPRA chairman Tracy Van Heusden opened the event saying it was important for the beauty industry to celebrate its achievements and for its members to spend an evening enjoying themselves, particularly in light of the difficult times the industry has survived in recent years. Guests left the event with an exclusive goodie bag containing products from brands including Elemis, Robert Piguet and Murad, and many left with prizes from the evening’s raffle, including a Chanel handbag, set of 34 Penhaligon’s fragrances and Michael Kors watch – lucky them!
